Zero: Easter Sunday

“Happy Easter Sunday”–isn’t that what we say? Yes, those of us traveling in Christian circles tend to say that, suggesting that we are pleased that Jesus rose.

Andreé, I’ve been following your Lenten journey here for the last couple of weeks but have been reticent to post a comment. I know this is a deeply personal place for you and cannot— nay, will not patronize by contributing well intended (but ultimately ridiculous) oversimplifications or the prosaic Christian drivel one often feels compelled to throw in for good measure (after all, nobody likes Job’s friends). I do, however, want to thank you for your candor in unapologetically exposing your vulnerability in this area. Your frank conclusion and subsequent resolve have helped bring into greater analytical and tactical focus a couple of ongoing issues in my own life. So, for what it’s worth, thanks for letting us in on your journey.
